lips there's something about white lipslips by ~Elenel
that make me stare
speechless and entranced,
wondering
how they came to be
did Winter kiss you
a fond goodbye
before he whizzed around the corner,
snowflakes billowing on his mantle?
or did you kiss him
and wish him well
the way you always do
when i leave you to happy dreams?
did you kiss Rosie
and breathe colour into her,
the red of your lips
becoming hers?
did she thank you
for a new morning
that Winter did not rob?
there's something about white lips
that compel me
to lean in closer
and closer
until i am mere breaths away
and i think i almost see
the colour

of flawless cream
Glowing incandescent
in our quiet blindness;
Numerous, and almost
insignificant
like foam on the sea
but lovely
nonetheless.
They tell me
that the light-years between you and i
are inconceivable,
That the one-in-a-trillion chance
that you and i collide,
Our stars will burst
like celestial fireworks
and our existence
will ebb away.
Light-years on,

59. No Way Out "Maya......"59. No Way Out by ~Elenel
I froze.
My windpipe tightened.
My jaw clenched.
I couldn't tell if the pain was from a massive migraine or from my nails piercing my skin.

My vision blurred.
I knew I was going to die.
I was going to die.
My guts knotted in terror.
I couldn't breathe.
A bead of sweat slipped down the contour of my face.
Drip.
I waited for my world to explode
And rip me apart.
I wanted to bolt.
I couldn't move.
I heard movement through my fading sense of sight.
I could hear them breathe.
I could hear their boots clic

55. Waiting This is just an empty space55. Waiting by ~Elenel
Where you and I
First met in the glades
This is just an empty space
Where he and she
Left their pasts erased
Will I find you here?
Will they find Me near?
This is just an empty space
For her to find
The hope she's lost
This is just an empty space
For him to know
He is not alone
Will I find you here?
Will they find Me near?
This is just an empty space
Will I find you here?
Will you find Me near?
I will hold you dear.
